2022 Ministry of Testing Events Have Started Going Live! šŸŽ‰

Following my 9 months maternity leave, it's with great happiness that I am now back with the fantastic MoT team organising all the TestBashes andĀ training courses for this year.Ā And the great news areĀ that adding to our online TestBashes, we're also planning on bringing some in-person events too!Ā

These in-person events will take place in the UK, as unfortunately, there's still too much uncertainty around world travel to be able to book international events. If you don't liveĀ in the UK, but can travel from your country, we'd love to have you! You can also check if you have a Meetup close to you and see what events they're doing next to you.

In the coming weeks, all of these events will be going live on our Events Page. We used to launch events only when we had all the information gathered and sometimes that took longer than expected, which resulted in events being launched too close to their dates. So this year, we've decided to launch all of them, with what we call 'bare bones' information to start with, just so you can see what's coming up, plan your year, ask for 'personal development' time at workĀ or ask your bossĀ for approval to purchase a ticket or subscription to attend. Check themĀ out, get registering, contribute and don't forget to add them to your calendar so you don't miss a thing.Ā It's going to be a very exciting year!Ā šŸŽ‰

From all the 2022 planned events, I have already set live:

  • Online TestBashes: This year, they'll be topic focused. We've asked the Community what were the hot topics they wanted to get stuck in and these were the highest voted ones.
  • Test.bash(); our automation and technically focused TestBash is also back in October, in its online format.
  • Automation in Testing: AiT is back this year in four different locations across the UK. Locations and dates are confirmed, but venues are still pending to be confirmed, so keep an eye out and book your tickets now to secure your place. Each AiT is limited to 24 attendees.
  • HolidayBash: our 'thank you' event to our Pro Members will be back online atĀ the end of year. The perfect opportunity to end the year by coming togetherĀ and have a lot of fun with the community.

What is going live in the coming weeks:

  • TestBash UK: our biggest in-person event of the year will take stage at The Lowry Theatre, in Manchester, on the 22nd and 23rd of September 2022. Two days packed of networking, activities, challenges and plenty of other opportunities to learn and meet your fellow community members.
  • TestBashX: a new TestBash concept that was initially planned right before the pandemic started to happen in Edinburgh. This year, we're bringing TestBash X to you in four locations across the UK: Brighton, Edinburgh, Manchester and Buckinghamshire. TestBashX will be all the things we've missed: networking, working together in a team, personal interactionĀ and getting hands on.
  • TestBash World: in this event we want to bring our Meetups across the World together in a TestBash Home type of feel. So you get the best of both worlds, you can watch it at home or you can connect with your local community. Let's call it a TestBash Home meets Meetups.Ā Ā Once again, do check out if you have a local Meetup close to you.

Exciting isn't it?Ā Ā šŸ˜ƒĀ
